Alumni & Student Reviews

Career Preparation

What letter grade would you give your school on how well it prepares students for a career in the real world?

3.75 Based on 4 Reviews
  • Alumni
    Mathematics, Class of 2011

It provided me with everything I needed. The list is just too vast to write here

    4 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
    Kinesiology, Class of 2003

There are jobs and internship opportunities on and off campus to help prepare students. The recreational activities center offered "Train to be a Trainer" with organized study groups for personal training certification. There were grad students and professors with open office hours.

    4 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
Human Nutrition and Food Science, Class of 2003

At the time (that I new of anyway), all they had was a career center with a physical book with jobs and internships.

    4 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
    Public Relations, Class of 2014

Career Center; I was exposed to a lot of networking opportunities through a Public Relations club that I was in.

    3 Rated January 2016
A- Excellent
Students and Culture

What letter grade would you give the students/culture at your school?

4 Based on 4 Reviews
  • Alumni
    Mathematics, Class of 2011

A good mix of recent high school grads and people coming back after military or just many years off

    4 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
    Kinesiology, Class of 2003

The culture is balanced between studies and epic parties. During my time at the real GSU there were a variety of students from multiple backgounds who meshed very well on campus.

    5 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
Human Nutrition and Food Science, Class of 2003

Good sized for being involved easily; big on football.

    4 Rated January 2016
A Excellent
Facilities

What letter grade would you give the facilities at your school.

4.5 Based on 4 Reviews
  • Alumni
    Mathematics, Class of 2011

Excellent. Some could use an update.

    4 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
    Kinesiology, Class of 2003

I did not live in the dorms or have a meal plan. I had friends in the dorms and they were nice enough. I believe there are some updated dorms that are nicer. The food on campus was average. I lost weight and worked out while in college. I didn't gain the "freshman fifteen." The great thing about Statesboro is the apartments are so cheap it is almost as cheap to live off campus.

    5 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
Human Nutrition and Food Science, Class of 2003

There were computer labs in all the dorms and in the library. 3 dining halls. Mostly smaller classrooms, but a few auditorium sized. Gym; football; baseball; swimming; basketball; art museum; botanical garden; tick museum; theaters; 2 school book stores.

    4 Rated January 2016
A Excellent
Activities and Groups

What overall letter grade would you give the activities/groups at your school?

4.25 Based on 4 Reviews
  • Alumni
    Mathematics, Class of 2011

I am not sure. Football was big

    4 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
    Kinesiology, Class of 2003

STOMP competitions, organized dance societies, visits to Savannah and Tybee on the weekends, rich history, and so on

    5 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
Human Nutrition and Food Science, Class of 2003

Football; Greek; Student Alliance for a Green Earth

    4 Rated January 2016
