Very nice for a State School. The facilities were and are very nice.

    4 Rated January 2016

for a smaller university, they are very good but as with all schools, budget never meets all needs, beautiful new dorms and a beautiful campus

    5 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
    Psychology, Class of 2010

Mix of old and new. The school has expanded its sports programs and student housing since I've graduated. Some of the facilities are outdated, but provide a lot of aesthetic charm.

    3 Rated January 2016

Well maintained and cared for. Many are new or recently remodeled.

What overall letter grade would you give the activities/groups at your school?

4.2 Based on 5 Reviews

    5 Rated January 2016

About 1/2 the female population is non-heterosexual. There are a lot of support groups, classes and activities geared toward gender studies, deviant sexual behaviors, and educating against the hetero/homo normative perpetuated in society. Also, HSU has awesome Environmental Engineering classes/training. It's located in such a beautiful and special part of the world; on the coast line, backed up against the Red Wood Curtain, east of the Trinity Alps, north of the Lost Coast, and nestled along an intricate system of rivers that have been a part of indigenous life for centuries, as well as played an important role in our EPA failures.

    4 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
    Studio Art, Class of 2009

Science facilities: a world class oceanic research ship, wildlife care habitats and pens. Field work in redwood forests. Student-led campus governance, student body president works with university president on a regular basis.

    5 Rated January 2016
