What letter grade would you give your school on how well it prepares students for a career in the real world?
Based on 5 ReviewsCareer services provided classes and seminars on getting into graduate school
opportunities to connect with alums in career field, opportunities to explore graduate education, internship opportunities
I have no idea as it's been too many years other than I know they have an extensive internship placement program. They had an active career placement office that scheduled interviews with visiting corporations, reviewed resumes, trained in interview prep, etc.
What letter grade would you give the students/culture at your school?
Based on 5 ReviewsClose knit community that nurtures creative expression, faith formation, and excellence in each field of study
It is a small selective liberal arts college in a rural community with strong programs in Science, Pre-Law, Pre-Med, Accounting, Nursing, and Music. It produces students with a strong work ethic and fosters strong school loyalty and loyal, long lasting friendships, both of which create extensive networks primarily across the Midwest.
What letter grade would you give the facilities at your school.
Based on 5 Reviewsmain, library, classrooms, labs music studios, concert hall, chapel
I visit the campus annually. The college has invested heavily over the past two decades to provide state of the art facilities, especially in its strongest programs. It has also renovated and provided new housing and completely renovated the dining hall and other food options. It had a beautiful campus when I attended but has made significant improvements to the grounds and every building in the years since. I just toured 23 similar schools with my college-bound daughter last spring so am able to judge the facilities against many other selective and highly selective institutions and it was only eclipsed by the Ivy League schools, University of Chicago, Northwestern. It was very similar to Colgate University and Hamilton, in upstate NY.
What overall letter grade would you give the activities/groups at your school?
Based on 5 ReviewsI think what is unique is the wide variety of groups that are present even on a small liberal arts campus.
Many students, regardless of major participate in a music group - 11 choirs, 3 bands, orchestra, etc. Greek life offers many social activities for approximately 20% of students. Despite it's rural location, the college brings in cultural events - concerts, theater, etc. Sporting events occur but are less popular than at larger universities.
