Alumni & Student Reviews

A- Excellent
Career Preparation

What letter grade would you give your school on how well it prepares students for a career in the real world?

4 Based on 2 Reviews
  • Alumni
    Communication, Class of 2006

This is a ridiculously vague question. It provides all of the above. Tools: learn practical skills. Networking: hosts events with area businesses and alumni. Curriculum: yes.

    4 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
Environmental Science and Policy, Class of 2010

mandatory professional writing course, career fairs, GIS lab, advisors and listservs to help with career/job search for alumni

B+ Great
Students and Culture

What letter grade would you give the students/culture at your school?

3.5 Based on 2 Reviews
  • Alumni
    Communication, Class of 2006

Large and diverse. Plenty of cliques that don't intermingle.

    3 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
Environmental Science and Policy, Class of 2010

laid back college atmosphere, lots of on-campus events and activities, sports, neither a particularly "party school" nor "rigorous academic" culture, so it truly is up to the individual as to what kind of a college experience one wants to have, especially as it is a very big school so there is something for everyone.

A Excellent
Facilities

What letter grade would you give the facilities at your school.

4.5 Based on 2 Reviews
  • Alumni
    Communication, Class of 2006

Never saw the dorms. Classrooms were fine and a variety of sizes, year built, etc.

    4 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
Environmental Science and Policy, Class of 2010

Excellent facilities. The college is very active in research so labs and technology are high level. The dining halls are nothing special (especially since they are overpriced and paying for a meal plan is mandatory for students living in the dorms).

A Excellent
Activities and Groups

What overall letter grade would you give the activities/groups at your school?

4.5 Based on 2 Reviews
  • Alumni
    Communication, Class of 2006

I don't know, what constitutes unique? There were dozens and dozens of student groups.

  • Alumni
Environmental Science and Policy, Class of 2010

sports are very popular, especially football and men's basketball. There are many and varied groups and activities of all types, acapella groups and ultimate frisbee happened to be popular during my time there.
