    4 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
    English, Class of 2007

Extremely competitive. Almost cutthroat. Felt like many people had a chip on their shoulder because Northwestern was their second choice school after an Ivy League. I often heard how Northwestern was the "Ivy League of the Big Ten". Definitely not a party school. Could be considered anti-social, but has a lot of good clubs/interest groups that creates a good social atmosphere. Just not a lot of parties. Unless you count study parties.

    4 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
BA in Communications (Majored in Theatre and History), Class of 2009

Generally upper-middle class to wealthy, mostly white. They talk a lot about diversity without actually being very diverse.

    4 Rated January 2016
