Students and Culture
What letter grade would you give the students/culture at your school?
Based on 16 Reviews
Alumni
MBA, Class of 1993

About 1/2 commuter, 1/2 on campus. Over 10% are in online only curriculum. There have been issues with harassment and a pretty worthless university president who has since cut and run. There's a lot of damage control going on now.

Rated January 2016
Alumni
BA Social Sciences, Class of 1999

commuter school wide age range

Rated January 2016
Alumni
BS Accounting, Class of 1974

typical college culture - football, parties and spring break

Rated January 2016
Alumni
social work, Class of 2003

Masters students were similar in my field. Otherwise very diverse of ages, ethnicities, and interests.

Rated January 2016
Alumni
electrical engineering, Class of 1987

I commuted there and did not spend extra time on campus

Rated January 2016
Alumni
Child Development, Class of 1991

A commuter school. Most students live in the vicinity and commute to school.

Rated January 2016
Alumni
Business Administration Human Resource Mgmt, Class of 1995

Commuter university, many live and work in local area while getting degree. Networked with Silicon Valley companies and technology

Rated January 2016
Alumni
Business, Class of 1994

SJSU is more of a commuter school.

Rated January 2016
Alumni
Speech Pathology and Audiology, Class of 1990

Commuter urban school in the heart of Silicon Valley

Rated January 2016
Alumni
BA Anthropology, Class of 2012

I never participated in the "culture" at the school. I was double the age of most students so that might explain my lack of participation.

Facilities
What letter grade would you give the facilities at your school.
Based on 16 Reviews
Alumni
MBA, Class of 1993

There are some buildings that are from the 50's and 60's, and haven't been updated. Not good. Library is co-run by city library system, and the city and university management seem to fight a lot about turf. Computer labs okay to good. Network is abysmal--lots of new Cisco equipment, but no one trained to administer.

Rated January 2016
Alumni
BA Social Sciences, Class of 1999

Classrooms very outdated, no fire sprinklers, general state school funding priorities

Rated January 2016
Alumni
BS Accounting, Class of 1974

don't know - lived in a sorority house don't know about classrooms and labs - graduated long ago

Rated January 2016
Alumni
social work, Class of 2003

My experience that they were okay. nothing superior. They added upgraded new dorms after I graduated

Rated January 2016
Alumni
electrical engineering, Class of 1987

many computer labs and engineering labs

Rated January 2016
Alumni
Child Development, Class of 1991

I did not have experience with the computer labs, dorms, or dining halls. The classrooms were average - the campus is on the older side.

Rated January 2016
Alumni
Business Administration Human Resource Mgmt, Class of 1995

Accessible labs, student union, clubs and activities, bar/pub, coffee shop, cafeteria. Dorms and buildings are old, many have been renovated internally but still old infrastructure exists

Rated January 2016
Alumni
Speech Pathology and Audiology, Class of 1990

Updated since I attended; library is state of the art; business and engineering schools keeping up with job market needs

Rated January 2016
Alumni
BA Anthropology, Class of 2012

The facilities were fine. The school was in the process of upgrading the college center while I was there but I never saw the finished product.

Rated January 2016
Alumni

Rated January 2016
