Alumni & Student Reviews

A+ Excellent
Career Preparation

What letter grade would you give your school on how well it prepares students for a career in the real world?

5 Based on 2 Reviews
  • Alumni
    Russian, Class of 2014

Connections with Alumni are great. But also- a liberal arts education is the best preparation for "the real world." If you have been taught how to think systematically and logically, and you can learn quickly, you can have many different careers in your lifetime.

Students and Culture

What letter grade would you give the students/culture at your school?

5 Based on 2 Reviews
  • Alumni
    History, Class of 1972

Intensely intelligent, socially conscious, extremely responsible.

    5 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
    Russian, Class of 2014

Students are very motivated and focused on their academic work and on translating academic ideas to real world solutions to problems. They are very nerdy, highly collaborative with other students and thoughtful about the needs of others.

Facilities

What letter grade would you give the facilities at your school.

5 Based on 2 Reviews
  • Alumni
    Russian, Class of 2014

The are fine. Dining hall is full of options. Plenty of computer labs with enough equipment. Dorms are fine. I also think that people often focus too much on superficial things like facilities while not placing enough value on professors.

Activities and Groups

What overall letter grade would you give the activities/groups at your school?

5 Based on 2 Reviews
  • Alumni
    History, Class of 1972

School meetings (Quaker-style, to make decisions.)

We have many different a cappella groups, social justice groups, dance groups and sports clubs. You can learn capoeira, fencing or ice hockey (off campus) and there are many different ways to socialize with other students
