    It was pretty well racially mixed. I am African American and there were large populations of other Blacks, Latinos, Indian's, Middle Eastern/Arabic, African, Eastern European, Asian, etc. The largest was white americans though.

    There were plenty of computer labs, most students lived off campus because UIC is about 80% commuter, dining halls in each main dorm cluster.

    At the time there was a lot of innovation/renovation going on. Plenty of computer labs and new classrooms. Plenty of older ones as well but not in bad shape. Dorms were older but newer ones were being built as were newer dining facilities
