    4 Rated January 2016

    ENGLISH, Class of 1981

It's been a long time and back in the late 70s jobs were plentiful and "liberal arts" were big. Don't recall anything much in the way of this line of thing but I'm sure there's a lot more now.

    3 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
BS in Accounting, Class of 1980

There is a whole placement department that you can use while in school and once you graduate.

    4 Rated January 2016

    Social Work, Class of 1993

Difficult course work in philosophy and economics.

    5 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
Masters of political science , Class of 2015

None that were taken seriously- they had a career center that was underutilized and some job fairs, but not frequently. They didn't prepare me personally for the real world. The business school or teaching school or engineering colleges may have been better, but arts and sciences doesn't prepare students for what is needed in the workplacd

    2 Rated January 2016

I don't remember outside of using the interview process of companies that came onto campus recruiting.

    B.A. Spanish, Class of 1973

I graduated may years ago and can not comment on this aspect.

    4 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
    ENGLISH, Class of 1981

It's a big school, very sports-oriented and with a big Greek (sorority/fraternity) presence but is big enough that "geeks, nerds and brains" can find a niche as well. It's also located in one of the most wonderful "small cities" in the world - Lexington, KY - a little slice of paradise on Earth!

    4 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
BS in Accounting, Class of 1980

Typical college. Mainly the full focus was the school. A lot of students lived either on campus or very near.

    4 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
    Social Work, Class of 1993

I was a non traditional student and didn't spend time on campus after classes

    5 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
Masters of political science , Class of 2015

Very typical southern school- fraternity/sorority oriented. A lot of focus on men's basketball, and a lot of partying. I taught as a grad student, and the students were nice, but had trouble with the scientific method and writing. They were mostly respectful of other viewpoints, and tolerant, but there was a large aspect of homogenization and party-focused undergraduates

    3 Rated January 2016
  • Alumni
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Class of 1985

Large University/ comraderie was withing the departments

They have been modernized a lot in recent years and are pretty good overall; some of the dorms are still pretty crummy. Dining halls are great (have been back there just recently for alumni functions, that's how I know!)

    4 Rated January 2016

Good. But improving. Lot's of construction.

    4 Rated January 2016

Some are really nice- a really great medical school center, great library, renovated dorms always happening, big renovations for the classrooms and dining halls happened a lot

    4 Rated January 2016

They are now upgrading all of the above. There were no PC's when I went to school

    4 Rated January 2016

Excellent. Many are brand new buildings. Many dining halls are scattered throughout campus with numerous dining options. New firms have study areas outside the four bedrooms as a common area with needed technology outlets/wifi.

There is really a lot going on here - of course sports, especially basketball, dominates the scene but there is a lot of diversity beyond that for people with all sorts of interests.
