Career Preparation

What letter grade would you give your school on how well it prepares students for a career in the real world?

    music education, Class of 2004

Most strategies/lessons in classes required creating activities you could actually use in a classroom-living lesson. Required observation/ work in classrooms before student teaching really enabled you to see a variety of grades, classroom set ups, and classroom management. Student teaching experience gave a chance to put into practice what you learned.

At the time (10yrs ago) there could have been more computers in each building. Classrooms were typical-nothing special. I did not live in the dorms and only ate one meal a week in the dining hall, but enjoyed the meals and atmosphere of the space. They have since then built a new building for student center. A new fitness center was built my last 1.5yrs there-loved it!! Many options for activities!

I was on the music department and all students in a music ensemble had the opportunity to tour in Brazil. The choir/orchestra went to China after I graduated-heard very positive comments.
