Students and Culture
What letter grade would you give the students/culture at your school?
Based on 9 Reviews
Alumni
Economics, English, Class of 2005

I don't know, it's been too long to describe current culture.

Rated January 2016
Alumni
Political Science & Jewish Studies, Class of 1980

High on variety of programming and low on sports. Academics were more important. During college sororities & fraternaties were not a big presence on campus. Lots of people from all over the world.

Rated January 2016
Alumni
Biology A.B., Class of 1985

Very diverse and academically gifted.

Rated January 2016
Alumni
Anthropology and Biology, Class of 1997

Mix of student cultures at school but very campus based school; at least a third of students very focused on studies so certain competitiveness in the classroom; many campus activities and effort to involve students in activities; majority white and many students coming from a middle/upper middle class background although about a third of students receiving significant financial aid; lots of freedom from campus authorities for students to plan activities on campus

Rated January 2016
Alumni
A.B. Biology, Class of 1985

Academic rigor in a beautiful setting.

Rated January 2016

Facilities
What letter grade would you give the facilities at your school.
Based on 9 Reviews
Alumni
Political Science & Jewish Studies, Class of 1980

They were excellent except for the high rise dorm elevators that stopped at the half floor which meant walking up or down stairs.

Rated January 2016
Alumni
Biology A.B., Class of 1985

Consistently rated in the top of the nation.

Rated January 2016
Alumni
Anthropology and Biology, Class of 1997

At the time computer labs were state of the art, most students now have their own computers so labs are now for students and researchers doing specialized activities; dorms, classrooms and dining halls were a mix of older facilities and newer more updated facilities which continues as new buildings are built and older buildings remodeled.

Rated January 2016

Thurtene Carnival and Wild Festivals were the most unique; student activities varied widely from political activities, lecture series, greek organizations, theater organizations, radio station, major based clubs, volunteer organizations; students were strongly encouraged to participate in activities as a way of applying classroom learnings and gaining experience, student led clubs were well supported by the campus authorities both financially and with other resources.
