The school is very much a walking campus and has easy access to shopping and entertainment in the city. The university has a very good theater school that produces and hosts live performances as does a nearby liberal arts college. The university also hosts several art gallery showings throughout the year. College sports are also an important part of campus life. A new gym was built for students to workout.
